On the first of January, I started a new project: ‘One Bedroom’. And today is the first day of the second month of my challenge, a good day to look at one month of photography.
The first difficulty I encountered is that it is winter. And in Scotland in means that if you have an 8 to 5 job, it’s basically night for you, all the time. Still, I tried my best not to be too influenced by that and to come up with a variety of images. Quite a difficulty, when, as everyone else, my weekly travels are mostly commuting, meaning going through the same streets, the same places, over and over again.
I had a couple of lucky strikes, and several days, of struggle to find an image worthy of publishing. 2 of my images are from the past, for the lack of anything better, and there’s one or two I don;t really like, looking back at it. Another difficulty is to create a coherent ensemble. I’m not there yet, but I would like to see a spirit of collection in this year long project. anyway, without further due, here is a little montage of my favorite shots of the months, and don’t forget to follow the Instagram account (@onebedroomfourcorners) and the Tumblr (onebedroomfourcorners.tumblr.com) page to keep up to date with the future publications.

Au premier janvier, j’ai commencé un nouveau projet: ‘One Bedroom’. Et aujourd’hui marque le premier jour du deuxième mois de mon défi. Une bonne occasion pour passer en revue un mois de photographie.
La première difficulté à laquelle j’ai du faire façe est que nous sommes en Hiver. En Écosse cela veux dire que si vous avez un job de 8h du matin à 17h, pour vous, il fait nuit tout le temps. Néanmoins j’ai essayé de faire de mon mieux pour que ceci n’influence pas trop mes images et d’arriver à une certaine variété d’images. Une difficulté quand la plus part des voyages que je fais en semaine sont les aller-retour entre la maison et le travail, ce qui implique de passeer pars les mêmes rues, les mêmes endroits, encore et toujours.
J’ai eu quelques coups de bol, et plusieurs jours de galère pour trouver une photographie digne de ce nom. 2 de mes publications viennent de photos prises auparavant, faute de mieux, et il y en a une ou deux que je n’aime pas vraiment, à y regarder de plus près. Une autre difficulté à été de créer un ensemble cohérent. Je n’y suis pas forcément arrivé, mais j’aimerai voir poindre un esprit de collection á travers ce projet qui durera tout au long de l’année.
